How long have you been writing?
I have been creative writing for most of my life. All of my honors / AP English classes wanted me to write essays but I loved to write stories on my computer and publish little writing prompts and story snippets on Wattpad (back when it was more like AO3 or Fanfiction.com) and Tumblr. In high school, I made it a habit to carry around a notebook just for writing so I could always be creating little stories and comics. When I was in college, I started this blog which is where I learned the importance of tone and copywriting and I wrote my first short story called "The Adventures of Will & Kat". Because of my background in game development, I've written many game plots. I've made a few Dungeons & Dragons one shots, video games, and an Instagram choose-your-own-adventure. In my professional life, I've often become the unofficial official notetaker for all meetings I've been apart of and helped write many, many instructional documents, technical documentation, presentations, etc. designed for audiences varying between children and VPs.
What's your writing process?
Depends on what I'm writing. I'm not going to write a story the same as I would write an instructional document. Generally, I start with an idea, then write a rough draft, then edit. If it's a game, I start with the idea, I think about the mechanics, and I weave a story into that. :)
Are you published anywhere?
Yes! I've published on Medium, Amazon KDP, and here on my blog.
